You can now apply multiple search criteria and filters, and even save popular searches for future use. If you’re looking for something specific, use the improved, advanced search bar. This feature removes the need to navigate using tabs, so you can quickly perform common tasks while instantly accessing your campaigns, advanced features, and settings. In AdWords Editor 11.0, we’ve introduced a new panel for selecting type lists. I think the ability to quickly update and add sitelinks is one of the most useful features of the Shared Library in AdWords Editor. This button can help save you from recreating sitelinks that already exist but just need some freshening up. This is especially helpful when you’ve shifted your campaign goals and say are now targeting “boots” instead of a more general term like “shoes” but are using the same landing page. The Replace/Append/Change Capitalizations button is also available should you need to quickly change a few words. You can also utilize the search function to quickly filter out unnecessary ad groups and campaigns. (This is where I could have saved some major time). The “Associations” button will allow you to add sitelinks to as many or as few campaigns or ad groups as you want with a minimal amount of work. It is important to remember that if you edit a shared sitelink, you’ll edit it across all of the campaigns or ad groups associated. Being able to add the same sitelink to multiple campaigns can be handy if you have multiple campaigns or ad groups that have a similar focus. Here you have the option to add, update, remove or replace sitelinks. If you’re looking to add multiple sitelinks, use the “Make Multiple Changes” button to utilize AdWords Editor for what it does best – bulk additions and edits. You also have the option to add the extended sitelink format but it’s not required if you don’t want to add the description lines. The button “Add Shared Sitelink” will get you on your way to adding a sitelink that you want to apply across multiple campaigns or ad groups with one swoop. I had that moment last week after spending a large chunk of my day adjusting ad group-level sitelinks in a medium-sized account. We all have those “doh!” moments (some more than others), where we knew there was a faster method to make changes to an account, but we don’t think to utilize it in the moment.
